Perth's WORLD RECORD KILT RUN


BIGGEST KILT RUN IN THE WORLD

A kilt run is where all participants wear kilts! The race typically draws a large field of 2,000+ runners with some people setting some very fast times!

The first kilt run held was in June of 2010. There were 1,089 finishers...breaking the old record of 250, and setting a new OFFICIAL Guinness World Record.

The 5 Miler and Warrior race both start and finish at main start line "castle" (Town Hall on Gore street.

The Royal Mile: A gentle, one mile course through downtown Heritage Perth.


8K Regular and Warrior: The race course completed certification by Atheletics Canada on April 20th 2013, verified as meeting the requirements as an 8.0 kilometer route

Ladd and Lassies: Our older children's race is a very interesting 1k run featuring three foot bridges over the river Tay!

Wee Ladd and Lassies: Our children's race "The Wee" is a full 200m down Gore St., at Herriott St.

NEW Warrior Ladd and Lassies: Our Warrior children's race (ages 9-12) is a very interesting 1.8k run featuring three foot bridges over the River Tay and several warrior obstacles in Stewart Park!

Non-Race Events: Canadian Haggis Toss Championship, Face Painting, Dr. Kaboom, Shortbread Competition, street bands, cheering stations, Booths and Displays.

The idea to hold a kilt run in Perth was borne out of an idea to help Perth, Scotland, celebrate their 800th Anniversary. Happy Birthday Perth, Scotland!! Canada's 8km Perth Kilt Run represents Scotland's 800 years of existence.
